The Parent Council is a elected annually at the AGM of the Parent Forum.
Membership of the Parent Council comprises 12 parent members, 2 staff members, a variable number of co-opted members and two pupil representatives - one from 5th year and one from 6th. The Rector attends meetings, but is not a member of the Parent Council. A representative of LAA attends, and representatives of the local Council and the Education Authority are also invited to the Parent Council meetings. These take place about six times a year, and are open to the public. Parents are very welcome to attend, and the Parent Council welcomes questions. To help us deal with questions as effectively as possible, it is helpful if prior notice can be given.
The Parent Council is supported by a Clerk, who takes the minutes and manages the administration of the Parent Council.
